The Juvenile Review Board (JRB):

HOW DO WE WORK?
Referrals are made to JRB by the Police Department, Superior Court for Juvenile Matters, Guilford School System and Guilford Families.
Waivers to gather appropriate information are signed by the youth and his/her parent(s) or guardian(s).
All referrals are held in the strictest confidence. The diversion process is entirely voluntary.
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE JUVENILE REVIEW BOARD MAY INCLUDE:
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY - Restitution, personal apology and/or community service work.
PREVENTION - Support to individuals and families, alcohol and other drug counseling, involvement in positive youth development activities.
SUPPORT - For families through counseling and referrals for additional services.
PARTICIPANTS MAY BE REQUIRED TO - Undergo education appropriate to their offense.
Our board is a group of volunteers committed to helping young people and their families within the community. The board is comprised of members from local schools, the police department, clergy, social service agencies, the medical community, and the juvenile court.
