Information Meeting Scheduled For Possible Land Use Regulation Changes

The Planning and Zoning Commission has scheduled a public information meeting in January to get input from Guilford residents regarding possible changes to the Zoning Regulations and the Subdivision Regulations.  The workshop is scheduled for:

Thursday, January 20, 2022

7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

This meeting will be via Zoom.  Access details are available on the Town Web Site

The Planning and Zoning Commission and Land Use Staff have been working on updating the Zoning Regulations and the Subdivision Regulations to make them more user-friendly and to incorporate statutory changes and best practices.

Drafts of the Zoning Regulations and the Subdivision Regulations showing possible regulation changes are available on the Town’s website at www.ci.guilford.ct.us.

The meeting will include a brief overview of the possible changes to the Zoning Regulations and the Subdivision Regulations and provide an opportunity for Guilford residents to comment on the potential new regulations.  Following the public information meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission will be refining both regulations prior to moving towards adoption.

Guilford residents are encouraged to provide input into the update process.  “The Regulations are an important document which will be used to guide future conservation and development activity,” said Philip Johnson, Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
