Dog Licenses and Shellfish Permits must be done through mail due to COVID-19

DOG LICENSES

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Town Clerk’s office will not be accepting any in-person dog license renewals this year. All dog license renewals MUST be done by mail. When you receive your renewal form in the mail please return it, along with a check payable to Town Clerk and proof of rabies vaccination. If your dog has been spayed or neutered please make sure the rabies vaccination indicates that. Rabies vaccinations must be current through July 1, 2020. If the date on the card is circled you must submit a current vaccination form. On May 5, 2020, Governor Ned Lamont issued an Executive order delaying penalties for dog license renewals until August 1, 2020. Please plan to renew your pet’s license before August 1, 2020, to avoid any penalty fees.

SHELLFISH PERMITS

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you will be unable to obtain your Shellfish License in person from the Town Clerk’s office at this time. Applications for licenses can be found under the Town Clerk department on this website and include all the information you need to obtain your license. We are sorry for the inconvenience and hope to be able to see you in person by next year.
