Building Department Application Changes

Due to the COVID-19 preventive measures implemented by the Town of Guilford, which includes reducing public exposure, the Building Department application process has changed until further notice. Starting, December 14, we are reducing our application submission hours to 8:30am ā€“ 1:30pm Monday thru Friday.

Authorization to act as agent

Please follow the instructions on each application indicating the number of paper copies required. Applications and all relevant supporting documents and fees can be mailed to the Building Dept. at 50 Boston Street, Guilford, CT 06437 or placed in the drop box at the same address.

Please understand that we cannot accept or process incomplete Building Permit Applications.

The Town requires these documents at the Time of Application:

Valid State License
Liability Insurance

Also if Applicable:

Building Plans
Plot Plan or A2 Survey
Septic System As-Built
Well Location
