ESTABLISHED: The Energy Task Force (now Sustainable Guilford) was established in March, 2007 by motion of the Board of Selectmen and serves at the Board’s discretion. The Task Force was then re-established in June 2018.
CHARGE/DUTIES: Sustainable Guilford is advisory to the Board of Selectmen and other Town Boards, Commissions and Departments and has a goal of working toward the Town of Guilford’s certification in the Sustainable CT Program. In addition the task force has been charged with researching, building support and making a recommendation to the board with regard to the Bring Your Own proposal.
ELECTED/APPOINTED: Appointed by the Board of Selectmen.
MEMBERSHIP: Seven regular members initially, but expanded to include additional members.
LENGTH OF TERM: At the discretion of the Board of Selectmen
MEETING DATE/TIME/PLACE: 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall.
